Mesa Verde:
Lucky us! The Mesa Verde neighborhood of Costa Mesa now has its own Great Mex. True to the original on Balboa Peninsula, the food is fresh, well seasoned and reasonably priced and the staff are gracious and energetic. And this one has a great big patio. You have to know where to look though — it's in the middle of Mesa Verde Plaza, 1 block off Harbor.

I'm definitely a fan of this place! Their crunchy chicken tacos are the bomb! Come on Taco Tuesdays and they are $1.25 each.

The service is good, the food is great, and the entire atmosphere is fairly decent. The inside is a bit small, but they also have an outside patio you can eat and smoke on which makes up for the small inside.
